Kaksipäinen Koira (Two-Headed Dog), hailing from Helsinki, Finland, is an exciting new force in the world of music, blending the realms of mild psychedelia, punk, and garage rock to create a unique sonic experience. Their sound is a captivating fusion of influences spanning from the 80s New Wave to the brooding depths of gothic rock, the ethereal textures of shoegaze, and even the hypnotic rhythms of krautrock. This debut single offers a glimpse into their distinctive musical universe.
The band is comprised of accomplished musicians who bring their individual talents and experiences to create a captivating musical tapestry. Tero Huotari, on vocals and guitar, is known as the mastermind behind Teksti-TV 666, hailed as Finland’s loudest indie rock band. He is also known from his bands HÄN and Kuusamo. On drums and vocals, Aliisa Keränen is known from bands such as Bad Sauna, recognized as one of the most promising acts in recent Finnish indie rock, and Lala Salama, a highly acclaimed punk and shoegaze outfit that’s been generating significant buzz. In live performances, the lineup is further enriched by bassist and vocalist Otto Pekkola, who also plays in Kaksipäinen Koira’s live lineup, adding depth and dimension to the band’s electrifying stage presence.
